Good location (both for Prato and Florence), friendly and helpful staff
The breakfast could be much better (E.G. it would be a good idea to serve real coffee, not the instant 'coffee' from the machine). Generally - I would recommend this hotel if the price is less than 55 euros per night.

Small, excellent hotel! The benevolent personnel. Purely, cozy. Ноер big, light, the snow-white linen, a towel changed every day! A breakfast excellent! All was pleasant!

What I found most notable about Il Giglio was the kindness and helpfulness of the proprietors.

I was only at this hotel and town for one night. I chose it for its closeness to the railway station and easy accessibility. A supermarket was only one street away and that was convenient. The castle was nearby, but I only had time to walk around it from the outside. It served my purposes of a stop after a long overseas flight and avoiding the usual crowds of Florence. The owner and his son were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good value.
Very basic room with no frig. and nowhere to rest the suitcase for unpacking etc. I couldn't get the hot water to be more than just warm in my room - 3rd floor, no lift but owner helped with case. It was alright for a one night stop over.

The friendliness of the owners made our stay very enjoyable. The location was good in relation to the railway station (about 10 mins walk)

We liked everything about this hotel, centrally-located on the edge of the historic old town. We were well looked after by the owners, their family and staff, and this made our stay a very pleasant one. Our room had every facilility we needed and opened on to a wide private balcony. Breakfast in the impressively-furnished dining room was enjoyable, served with good quality coffee.
As mentioned, we liked everything about this hotel

The staff were very friendly, and very helpful in getting us internet information. The hotel was comfortable, clean and quiet. It was based mid-way between the station and the town centre.
Although the breakfast was included in the price, which was good, it was a little unimaginative.

Nice family staff.
Old atmosphere, a bit sad.

We really enjoyed the welcome at Albegro Il Giglio, the friendly nature of the staff, and their advice about where to eat and how to enjoy Prato. The room we stayed in was small, but very cleverly and carefully organised, so that everything we needed was available and easy to find and use. Even the hairdryer was of a very superior qualityThis is a small family run hotel that makes you feel like one of the family, but that has thought veyr carefully about how to organise the space available. It is really good value for money, and well located.
The breakfast was very adequate, but a bit monotonous if you stayed for several days.

Traditional family pensione in good location between the city centre and the railway station. We enjoy staying in Prato -(and eating in its delicious, well priced trattorie) - it can also be used as a base for visiting Florence, Lucca or Pistoia.
